Growing wealth

Investing your hard-earned wealth involves an important discussion and consultation process with one of our qualified advisers.
We will assess your finances, agree your short, medium and long-term goals and then advise accordingly.

Consultation

We help our clients through the process via a series of discussions and face-to-face meetings.

Analysis & research

If you decide you wish to continue with the advice process, we will conduct a comprehensive review of your existing arrangements in line with your stated objectives. This may mean contacting existing product providers to establish the exact type of plan you have, its benefits, costs and objectives.

Recommendation & implementation

After completing thorough research, we will meet again to discuss our recommendations to support your current and future objectives.

Investment planning

Investing in a stock market portfolio is one area where a long-term partnership with an experienced financial planner has the potential to reap exceptional rewards. Where, how and when to invest is daunting for many. Your Liberty adviser will firstly establish your risk profile – finding out how comfortable you are with short term losses for potential long-term gain. Your St. James’s Place funds will be sufficiently diversified aiming to minimise risk and possible loss, and maximise potential growth, in line with your preferences. Your planner will then make sure you take maximum advantage of tax-efficient wrappers for your investments such as an ISA or JISA. And whether investing for your own future or loved ones’, you’ll enjoy regular reviews and advice as your goals change over the years.

The value of an investment with St. James’s Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.

The levels and bases of taxation and reliefs from taxation can change at any time and are generally depend on individual circumstances.

Retirement planning

Planning is crucial in securing how and when you retire. Your Liberty adviser will start by establishing your desired retirement age, how much you need to live on, any other income coming in, any workplace pensions and what your State Pension will be. If you need to top this up with investments, savings or a private pension, we’ll make sure they are carefully managed, with recommendations for suitable changes as the years go by. If you have several small company pensions, we can review them to check if they are working as hard as they can be for you. When the time comes to retire, there are now multiple ways of taking regular income or lump sums. Your Liberty adviser will be there to help you receive the maximum from your pot. And don’t forget it’s never too early to start planning for retirement. Setting up a pension for children has become a financially-savvy way to pass down wealth and help the next generation get ahead with their own retirement.

The value of an investment with St. James’s Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.
