How the Foundation raises money
St. James’s Place funds are primarily raised through the generosity, time and effort of the St. James’s Place community. All monies raised are then matched £1 for £1 by St. James’s Place plc, making their donations go twice as far.
We are proud of the fact that more than 80% of St. James’s Place Partners and employees donate on a regular monthly basis to the Foundation. Added to this are a variety of fundraising events which the St. James’s Place community, organise and take part in.
St. Jame’s Place Foundation’s 2024 in numbers –
£8.95 million – funds raised
981 – charities supported
£8.7 million – given out
£5.3 million – pledged over next three years
How the money is used
Approximately 90% of the money raised goes to supporting UK charities, with the remaining 10% being allocated to charities overseas, particularly those helping children and young people to escape poverty, malnutrition and neglect. Since its formation, the Charitable Foundation has aimed to make a positive and lasting change to the lives of children and young people. Supporting young people is still our largest focus area, although today our work stretches across four main themes; children and young people, cancer, hospices and mental health.
The Charitable Foundation has a focus on supporting smaller grassroots charities through a range of grant programmes enabling positive and lasting change to the beneficiaries of those organisations it supports.
The Charitable Foundation’s impact is far reaching and enables long-term positive change for the charities it supports and their beneficiaries.
