Clients and guests gathered at Chelmsford Golf Club on Friday May 23rd for the Liberty Wealth Management Charity Golf day in aid of St Luke’s Hospice. There was a really good turnout to support what is a fantastic local charity, and a fine day weather-wise ensured some good golf was played.
Chelmsford Golf Course is an established parkland course measuring 5,996 yards with a par of 68. The course was in excellent condition and provided a challenging and enjoyable test for golfers of all abilities.
The day began at 9.30am with everyone meeting up for a bacon roll, a cup of coffee and a chance to meet and chat before the first group tee’d off at 11am.
Each team had a yellow ball which counted towards the group score and the team prize, plus there was an individual competition and nearest the pin for the best on all the par 3’s holes. There was no doubt who the winner was on the 4th hole - a hole in one no less by David Benstead meant valuable points for his team along with a special individual prize.
